Gas Prices!

I so agree with this! I am glad I don't get out much, gas prices are ridiculous!

I went to work today ! That seems to be an accomplishment in itself these days. I had a dentist appointment to have my teeth cleaned and I was very nervous because the regular girl, Cindy is out having problems with her pregnancy and they had a temporary hygienist filling in. Turns out she goes to Long Hollow and I started talking about Cheryl and she told me that she had been praying for her. She did not know Cheryl, just her story and that she prayed for her daily so I immediately bonded with her (Peggy).

I got this in an email from Leslie:

The 3 boys having their first of many baths together!

After the dentist, I met Starr and we went to our Scrap Book Club at Mandy Moss's house. Each month we meet and get a new kit of supplies that we are supposed to work on and bring back the next month and share our ideas with the group. I did not get my pages done but I am determined that I will before the next meeting! Starr had worked on her pages and also made Mothers Day gifts too! She was really showing me up and I will have to really get with it in May to top her next time! We are very competitive!

I am exhasuted from this day and will take a bath and get in bed with my new magazines and sleep. I am off tomorrow thank goodness!

My Sunday....

Ok, I woke up late for my TV church, thank goodness I taped it because Joel was great today. I loved the saying it's not who you are it is WHOSE you are! Talked to Corinne on the phone and then had a chat with Tom Signs on the phone. He is simply amazing! I just love his attitude and his spirit. He will not let this leg (or lack of it) get in his way. I told him Corinne was coming and it thrilled him to pieces. She also stopped by here with some of her wonderful orange juice cake and visited with me for a bit. I talked to Mom and heard all about her wonderul trip to the beach and then I took another nap and Brad came home with Krystals for dinner and watching the Finale of Big Brother 9. Right as it started, Patrick came in with his Krystals to watch it with us. We had fun but I was disappointed that Ryan didn't win. Brad and I will now have to find something else to do for our "together" time on Tuesday and Wednesday now.

Patrick stayed and checked his email and talked to me for a while and then went home.
So all in all my day was very nice except that I slept so much that I am not sleepy and it is 11:00 pm.

Maddux's Pirate Birthday Party

Maddux celebrated his 3rd birthday today with a great Pirate party! All the children had so much fun making pirate hats, playing outside and having an awesome treasure hunt. They had clues hidden outside that ended them back to the front porch to the treasure chest filled with treat bags for all of them.
Chris, Ashley, Christopher and John Ed were home and we were all glad to have them here. Chris ran in the Music City Marathon today and did it in a little over 2 hours! Mom had to miss the party as she was on her way home from Gulf Shores. I talked to her and I know she wanted to be here so bad.
Today was the celebration for National Scrapbook Day at Patty Wigger's house. We had a small group this year but it was still fun and I managed to get a lot done. I missed having Starr there but she was working and taking care of Tom.
I talked to Tom on the phone and he sounded really good. He is going to bounce back from all of this in amazing speed I can tell. I think if he had it his way, he would try to go to work!

Sunday, April 20, 2008

It's been a long time since I posted on here. I have been so sick with this pneumonia that I haven't felt like it nor did I have anything going on. I finally went to work Thursday and made it all day. Friday, I went to get a manicure at Starr's. While I was at the beauty shop, she got a call that Tom had fallen and was being transported to Vanderbilt hospital ER. We met Brigham and went out there and Tom was already there. It was his bad leg and it was broken. They have been told that he will have to have his leg amputated. He has an amazing outlook about it all and I have no doubts he will make an amazing recovery. Please pray for him as he goes this and for Starr as she nurses him back to health.
We have stayed in all weekend and Brad has done some yardwork and it is really looking pretty in our yard.

My sweet Patrick came over this afternoon and stayed until 10:00 tonight! I think he was homesick! He ate and we watched some TV and then I found him like this..
Well, that's about it, Mom is in Gulf Shores for a week on vacation with some girlfriends so she won't be posting for awhile. I love to read her posts, they are so informative and so descriptive.

Pray for Mom please

Tomorrow, Wednesday April 9th, Mom is going to have an Arteriogram done at Hendersonville Hospital. Her new studies show change from the one she had in 2004. Please pray that it goes smoothly for her and that it all checks out fine.

What is an arteriogram?
An arteriogram is an x-ray of the blood vessels called arteries. It is performed to evaluate various vascular conditions, such as an aneurysm (a bulging, weakened area in the wall of a blood vessel), stenosis (narrowing of a blood vessel), or blockages. Other names for this procedure are angiogram and arteriography.
Fluoroscopy is often used during an arteriogram. Fluoroscopy is a study of moving body structures - similar to an x-ray “movie.” A continuous x-ray beam is passed through the body part being examined, and is transmitted to a TV-like monitor so that the body part and its motion can be seen in detail.
During an arteriogram, a dye is injected into an artery making the arteries visible on x-ray. Many arteries can be examined by an arteriogram, including the arterial systems of the legs, kidneys, brain, and heart.
The development and improvement of diagnostic procedures such as computed tomography (CT scan), ultrasound, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) have greatly expanded the diagnostic capabilities of the radiology department. An arteriogram may be performed in conjunction with another type of diagnostic procedure such as CT, MRI, or ultrasound, which provides greater detail to the physician.

Meeting Cord!

I finally got to meet Cord Ramsey Pigg and hold him today! Corinne took Mom and I up to Clarksville for a visit. We got to hold Cord for the first time and he was so sweet! He is such a beautiful perfect little baby! He already looks just like Russell chin and all! We had the nicest time visiting and Russell grilled some awesome cheeseburgers and Leslie had all the fixings including strawberry shortcake. We ate outside and watched CoCo and Connor play baseball.

Today's Scripture
“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all” (Psalm 34:19).
Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
Aren’t you glad we serve a Deliverer today? An affliction is defined as the cause of persistent pain or distress. You might feel afflicted today, but God is working to bring you out of that difficult situation. It may not be in the way you thought, but you have to trust that God has your best interest at heart. I know that afflictions can take on many forms—a sickness or hardship, a temptation, a coworker or family member. There are so many things that can come against us, but God promises in His Word that no weapon formed against us shall prosper! Those afflictions are only temporary. Stand in faith believing that God is on your side. Remember, you and God are a majority. It doesn’t matter what your circumstances look like, get up every morning and say, “This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.” As you stand and trust the Lord, He will deliver you out of all your afflictions, and you’ll see His hand of blessing in every area of your life.
A Prayer for Today
Father in heaven, thank You for making me righteous through the blood of Jesus. I trust that You have a good plan for me, and that You will deliver me out of all affliction. Thank You for Your strength and peace in my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Great Weekend!

On Friday morning at 7:15 Starr came over and we headed out to Henry Horton State Park for our 11th annual Scrapbook Retreat. The car was loaded down even though we both said we had packed "light" and were not bringing every scrapbook supply we had. We got there and got all set up and to work. At lunch time, we drove to Chapel Hill to a little diner for homemade cheeseburgers with all the fixings and then to Family Dollar for our annual shopping! We went back to the lodge and scrap booked and we had a potluck dinner where everyone brought food and I left at 9:00 to go back to the room for a bath and to rest. Starr came later and we watched TV and looked at our magazines and just relaxed, it was great! Saturday we slept in and then went over to the lodge and had a pancake breakfast that one of the ladies fixed for us and then we scrapped.

I went back to the room and took a long nap while it poured rain and slept so good. When I got back, Patty had made taco soup and salad and chips and dip like they have at Chefs Market. It seemed like we were eating all the time! We scrapped until late and slept in again today. We finished up and packed all our stuff and Starr loaded it all up and we headed out. We had it all planned that we would go to eat at a restuarant that we found last year called Sophies Bistro and shop at the scrapbook store in the same area. Starr took such good care of me and waited on me hand and foot. I am tired and not looking forward to work tomorrow but I had a great weekend. Brad is in Charleston, South Carolina so its just me and the dogs!

Happy Birthday Dear Starr!

Today is my very dear, true friend Starr Elaine Signs Birthday! She is so special and has shared so many good times, so many bad times and most of all so many laughs with me! We became friends when I started going to her to have my nails done in 1981. We had a couple of breaks (where I got mad at her and I can't remember why) but for the past 27 years she was always there for me. She tells it like it is and if she loves you, she loves you with her whole heart it took me a while to know, that is what "true" friends do! Happy birthday dear friend, and many more! I love you!

I loved this!

Keep Walking Through
Today's Scripture
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me…” (Psalm 23:4).
Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
Everyone faces challenges and difficulties in life. If you are going through a valley today, know that you are not alone. God is with you! He is working behind the scenes on your behalf, and He will carry you through. Remember, your challenges didn’t come to stay, they came to pass. Don’t get stuck in the valley by allowing your setbacks to become the focus of your life. Jesus endured the pain of the cross for the joy that was set before Him, and when you focus on your victory, you will be able to keep walking through that valley! Shake off bitterness and self-pity today and be determined to press forward. With God on your side, no weapon formed against you shall prosper. As you keep an attitude of faith and expectancy, your challenges will become easier, and you will move forward and live the life of victory the Lord has in store for you.
A Prayer for Today
Father in heaven, thank You for Your faithfulness to me. Thank You for giving me strength during the difficult times. I trust that You are with me today and choose to focus on the victory You have in store. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Easter Celebration Cline Style

Today started out a little slow for me but I was determined that I was not going to miss out! I watched my TV church and it was great as usual. Patrick came over and was delighted with his Easter basket which consisted of paper towels, toliet paper, trash bags, Tide, paper plates, work shorts, and sweet tarts! Then we headed over to Mom's house and everyone was already there and lunch was ready. We had a feast! Ham and all the fixings that go with it and then some! The children were so excited and could hardly wait for all the activities to begin.

The 2008 Mom and Sister Picture

Here they are ready for the annual Egg hunt to begin! The head bunnies (Nita and Corinne) with helpers had hidden 120 eggs filled with either a toy or candy. They had a ball hunting them!
Sarah James, Ava, Jackson, Maddux, Anni, Emma and Connor (Cannon was not far behind)
They played more games and then the grown ups teamed up to hunt eggs in the front yard. Each team had a certain color of egg to find and then take the letters from inside and unscramble. This was what they had to spell....

It was a wonderful day and lots of memories were made. It is such a reminder of how blessed we are. We are so glad to pass on to our children these traditions that we remember from our childhood. The Cline Easter egg hunts we had when I was a child will always be such a special memory to me.
We also celebrated Tracey's birthday and last but not least, we have Cord Ramsey Pigg coming tomorrow morning so that was another highlight of conversation today.

Leslie's shirt says it all!

Happy Birthday Tracey!

Today is my baby sister Tracey's birthday. She is just about the sweetest person on earth! She has such a kind heart and is so patient that it is sometimes annoying! (Just kidding). I always think it is funny that people seem surprised that we are sisters. When she was little she had to sit for hours in the garage in my classroom being my student playing school. Many times she was not permitted to cross a line in our bedroom that we shared on Valley Park but through it all she always loved me and thought I was great. Happy Birthday Tracey, I love you and I am so glad that you were born!

My Good Friday

Today I got the royal treatment from my dear friends Samantha and Starr! I got my roots, nails and toes done! I enjoyed being with these two friends while they worked to make me look and feel better!

Starr is all healed from her surgery and looking great!
Then I went to the see the Tygards and have our taxes filed. Such a blessing to get money back and not have to pay this year! Not much else going on here, just looking forward to time with the family as we celebrate Easter and Cord Ramsey coming on Monday!

I love this guy!

I just love this guy David A. on Ameican Idol! He just makes me smile everytime they show him on the show. Even when he forgot the words last week I thought he was the cutest, sweetest thing! Vote for him!!!

Today my old computer finally crashed. I have babied it so since October when I lost everything but this morning when I turned it on, it was blinking and cutting off and one. I got it to work long enough to email Brad a bunch of my work documents and then it was gone. I am hoping that all of my pictures are stored on Snapfish. Thankfully, Patrick has not moved his computer yet so I hooked it up until we can get another one or Patrick takes this one away from me.

Today is my cousin Alice's birthday! So if you are reading this Alice Faye, Happy Birthday and I love you!

Scrapping Fun!

Such a fun night tonight at Mandy Moss's house. She had a crop
to make Birthday pages. Samantha, Starr and I met at Toys R US and Samantha was our driver to her house. We laughed and had so much fun working on our pages. None of us are very good at following directions, we all like to lead so it was especially funny to conform to the instructions of how the pages "had" to be! Starr had a sack full of Goodwill finds for me, animal print house shoes, and animal print velour pillow sham and a notebook for scrapbook stuff. Now I am off to watch Dancing with the Stars that I recorded while I was gone!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Lisa had a patient give her a $ 75.00 gift card to the Tin Angel restaurant and she shared it with us for a fun office lunch for St. Patrick's Day!

I would love to have been sitting in the middle of this sofa Friday night!
