Ok so this will be a rather lengthy post but I am waiting for my shows to come on and I thought I would post about the week. I will start off with a new find for our pantry. Patrick was raised on Pop Tarts and to this day he thinks that Pop Tarts are a nutritious breakfast. I had coupons last week to try these new Orange Creme Pop Tarts. They are delicious! Tastes like the orange dream popsicles we got from the truck coming down Valley Park Drive many, many years ago.
Next on the list was the excitement in the air at our house over gravel in the driveway! We needed it 5 years ago when we moved here but there was always something ahead of it on the list. I must have made 20 phone calls or more researching prices and trying to get a deal. Patrick needed his driveway fixed too so I thought I could get a better price by telling the people that there were two houses needing gravel in the same neighborhood. Mark Smith told me what to ask for and I finally found a deal. It was delivered and spread just in time for all the rain but at least there is no more mud out there and I can get out of the car without the fear of falling in the mud.

Patrick called Friday to say "Mom you not going to like what I have to tell you". That is not what a Mother wants to hear from her child first off in a phone call. I took a deep breath and said a quick prayer and calmly said "what is it?" He paused and said, " I shaved my head". I then began to breathe again and told him not to scare me like that. He said it just bothered him when he was working and decided that it would help.
My next response" Oh Patrick, what about the Easter pictures?"
For our dinner tonight, I looked through some recipes and came up with:
Pork Tenderloin in Bourbon
Twice Baked Potatoes
Green Beans
Rolls and Tea

The pork tenderloin was a big hit!
- 1/4 cup of soy sauce
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, halved
- 3 pounds of pork tenderloin
- Mix together soy sauce, bourbon, brown sugar, and garlic. Pour over pork, cover, and refrigerate at least 2 hours, turning occasionally.
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Remove pork from marinade, and place on rack of shallow roasting pan.
Now why does my handsome husband want to do this to me when I ask for a picture when he can pose like this?
