I was treated to a wonderful visit and lunch today by Tracey and Courtney. They were out doing errands and pre-birthday stuff for Courtney and they brought lunch from Panera bread over and ate with me. It was so much fun being with them and looking at the pictures of their latest vacation.


Courtney loved the LV billfold that Mom and I gave her. And it just so happens that she has a purse to match! A girl after my own heart!

New Post!

Well it has been over a week since my last post! I think when I read Mom's blog, I get intimidated by her great posts so I haven't been writing. After all, who can compete with her writing!

Yesterday, little Maddux had his tonsils taken out and had to spend the night in the hospital. I am praying that he will feel so much better now with getting them out.

Patrick's closing of his house has been delayed until next Thursday so that some repairs can be made to satisfy the FHA people. Lee Company is coming today to install a new electrical panel and the painter worked yesterday and will finish tomorrow if it does not rain. He is very excited but also a little nervous with the responsibility of being a first time homeowner.

I meant to post this great picture of the whole Maddux family last week. All of their family went to Florida for a fun filled week together.

Ray is having a procedure done today at Vanderbilt on his heart to try to get it back in rhythm. Please pray that this all goes smoothly and he will benefit from this!

Chassen's Farewell Dinner

Tonight Patrick and I were included in a going away dinner with our other family! Chassen will be leaving in the morning for his month long trip to London. We had such a nice time catching up with everyone and saying bye to Chassen. 4th of July 2008

We had a little get together to celebrate the 4th! Patrick grilled us some awesome hamburgers and everyone brought dishes to go with it. After dinner, we all went down to Brad's deck and waited for the fireworks. We could see them in all directions ! Wayne, Jacque and Jeffrey got here in time to see them and then we all went inside to watch the fireworks from downtown on TV. My camera was acting up so I lost most of the pictures that Patrick took.

A Favorite 4th of July! 1998

I can close my eyes and remember the laughing and the cutting up while we were posing for this picture as if it were yesterday. It was on the golf course at Sandestin right outside of Nita and Ray's condo. It was our last trip of the whole family being together for the annual Cline Family beach trip that was always the week of 4th of July. We teased Russell that the whole family was going with him and Leslie on their honeymoon! This was before weddings (Chris, Drew, Emily and mine) and 10 babies and we still had Daddy. Such wonderful memories we made that I will treasure for the rest of my life.
