This is the Day!
Today's Scripture
"This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it" (Psalm 118:24).
Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
Every day that we are given is a precious gift from Almighty God. We should wake up every morning with a grateful attitude, full of faith and expectancy for what the Lord has in store. Sure, you may be facing some challenges in your every day life, or maybe things aren't going the way you planned, but remember, each new day is a chance to stand strong in the midst of adversity and see the faithfulness of God. Every new day is an opportunity to praise and thank Him; to magnify your God instead of magnifying your problems. This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it! Be glad that God has promised to never leave us or forsake us. Be glad that God has given you a sound, healthy mind. Rejoice that He is making a way where there seems to be no way! As you focus on the gift of every day and rejoice in what God has done in your life, you will begin to experience His increase and blessings. You'll rise up higher and set the course to live in victory all the days of your life!
A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, today I choose to rejoice in You. Thank You for this day and for every opportunity that You've given me to bless and praise You. I give You everything I am today and always. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Believe me, there was no detail left off of Leslie's list to make this the perfect Ball Birthday Party for Connor Cline Pigg. The weather turned out perfect and the giant slide and all the different ball booths made for a great time for the children. The concession stand was all set up and everything was "themed" ( I love a good theme party!). Connor was so sweet and very attentive to all his guests. It was a great time for all!Thursday, June 19, 2008
He made his offer!!!
Tonight Brad and I went with Patrick to look at this little house at 1410 Mohawk Trail
we all fell in love with it and Patrick was ready to put a contract on it!!! I would have made Corinne so proud, I met the neighbor and I know her history and all the surrounding neighbors as well! Brad had already researched this house for several days and we were all delighted with how well it has been taken care of. It is very clean and has enough storage buildings in the back to hold all of our stuff that is in Mom's garage and then some! It has a huge fenced yard, front and back and a great deck with flowers blooming everywhere!
Susan was so patient and explained every page to him and he was so serious and attentive. Then we all voted on the price he would offer and then it was done. He put his earnest money down and Susan will deliver the contract to the other agent tonight. Now we just have to pray that it all comes through for him and he will be living in almost walking distance from us!!!
My baby boy soon to be a homeowner!!!!! He was so happy and so cute as we discussed what furniture would go in each room. It has mauve carpet in the living room but it is very clean mauve carpet and will match his green sofa and loveseat from Emily and Jackson perfect.

As we were leaving he said " Did you see that hot girl walking her dog"? "I need to get a dog or maybe some chairs to sit out on the front porch" That's Patrick, always thinkging ahead!!!!

Pray for Cheryl
His Grace is Enough
“My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness” (II Corinthians 12:9).
Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
Grace is God’s unmerited favor. It’s kindness from Him that we don’t deserve. Grace empowers us and strengthens us. No matter what has happened in your past, you can receive God’s grace and forgiveness and start fresh today. You can hold your head up high because His grace is enough. You may not be perfect, but you are forgiven. When you go around holding on to your past mistakes or think you have to try to make things up to God, it’s like saying that His grace isn’t enough. Jesus has already paid for your mistakes. All you have to do is receive His grace today and thank Him for His favor and empowerment in your life. In the same way, extend that grace to others. Don’t try to punish people for their past mistakes; instead, give them favor to start over. As you allow God’s grace to flow through you, you will be strengthened and empowered. You’ll see yourself rise higher, and you will enjoy God’s blessing in every area of your life.
A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your goodness and grace today. I receive Your strength and favor in my life. Help me to extend that grace to others. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Another great day!
I was determined to see Sex and the City ASAP! After Leslie's report, I knew that I would not be disappointed. It was great. I laughed and cried and laughed some more and I want to see it again. I used to look so forward to Sunday night and watching this show and I love the friendships these girls have. They are so different and so similar.

Mom and I met Corinne for the 1:30 show after lunch at Calhouns.
We took a self portrait to capture this time together!

Then it was home for the grilled hamburgers we were promised on Memorial Day that was postponed due to rain.
Jerry and Sandra came by to see all the renovations going on around here. Sandra brought us a quiche and ribeye steaks that we will enjoy later in the week.
